Job Description
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a seasoned, connected, and high-performing Head of Sales to drive $3 million in new B2B digital commerce revenue annually. As a strategic Sales-Head with deep relationships in the manufacturing and distribution sectors, you’ll lead outbound sales efforts, generate pipeline, develop relationships, and close strategic deals. You’ll drive growth by acquiring new accounts aligned with our high-value service offerings, including but not limited to Magento/Adobe Commerce and BigCommerce builds and complex backend integrations.
As a Sales Head, you will own outbound pipeline generation, relationship development, and strategic deal closure. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role focuses on both landing new accounts and nurturing long-term client partnerships. You will bring a consultative approach to selling, deep knowledge of the eCommerce space, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver customized solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Drive net new sales of eCommerce services including site builds, platform migrations, integrations, and support retainers.
- Own and manage an active pipeline of 20+ sales opportunities across B2B and DTC clients.
- Develop proposals, deliver compelling demos, and lead negotiations to close high-value deals.
- Collaborate with platform and tech partners (e.g., Adobe, Shopify, BigCommerce, Sales Layer, fintech, etc) for co-selling and joint go-to-market (GTM) campaigns.
Client Account Management & Upselling
- Act as a strategic advisor for current clients, identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships through upselling additional services and ongoing support.
- Maintain close contact with key accounts to understand evolving needs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with delivery and engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation and long-term support.
Partnership Development
- Build and manage high-value partnerships with technology providers and other agencies.
- Execute joint marketing campaigns in collaboration with Wagento marketing team and generate referral opportunities through platforms like Crossbeam.
- Represent Wagento in partner planning sessions, events, and business reviews.
Strategic Sales Execution
- Shape and execute Wagento’s GTM strategy in alignment with company goals and market trends.
- Contribute to the development of new services and product offerings that meet the evolving needs of our client base.
- Guide marketing efforts related to sales enablement, campaigns, and content development.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience in a digital agency, systems integrator, or SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and closing complex eCommerce deals.
- Experience managing strategic client accounts and driving upsell/cross-sell revenue.
- Deep understanding of digital commerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, and Shopware.
- Strong communication and consultative selling skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
- Experience working cross-functionally with delivery, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Familiarity with tools like Crossbeam, CRMs, and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
