As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated HR Assistant with expertise in USA Labor Law, State and Tax Regulations, and Insurance and 401(k) Compliance to join our team. The HR Assistant – Compliance and Regulations Specialist at Wagento Creative LLC will play a vital role in ensuring our organization’s adherence to various federal and state regulations, tax laws, insurance requirements, and 401(k) compliance. This position requires a deep understanding of HR compliance, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Labor Law and Compliance: Stay current with federal and state labor laws and regulations to ensure company-wide compliance.
- Tax Regulations: Monitor and implement changes in tax regulations at the federal and state levels, ensuring accurate payroll tax deductions and reporting.
- Insurance Oversight: Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and vision insurance. Assist employees with insurance-related inquiries and claims.
- 401(k) Compliance: Manage the company’s 401(k) program, ensuring compliance with all regulations and providing support to employees with 401(k) inquiries.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records related to compliance and regulations, prepare reports, and assist in audits.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with HR Manager to develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.
- Training and Education: Provide training to employees and managers on compliance-related topics and facilitate workshops as necessary.
- Employee Relations: Assist in resolving compliance-related issues and providing guidance to employees and managers.
- Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and open enrolment processes.
- General HR Support: Provide general HR support and assist with various HR-related tasks as needed.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, focusing on compliance and regulations.
- Proficiency in USA Labor Law, State Regulations, Tax Compliance, Insurance, and 401(k) rules.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems.
